In 1918, Walter Jacobs founded what we now know as Hertz in Chicago, personally repairing and renting out a dozen Ford Model Ts.

The iconic yellow 🟡 and black ⚫ colors were no accident: they arrived in 1923 when John D. Hertz bought the company. In addition to giving it his name, he applied the colors from his taxi business so they would be visible from a distance.

From 12 cars to over 150 countries. A lesson that great journeys start small.

In 1947, they launched the HIAB 19, the first mass-produced hydraulic crane, followed by the legendary "Elefant" in 1956. This design set the standard for modern articulated cranes and has been a hallmark of HIAB’s identity ever since. 🐘

Today, they are present in over 120 countries, becoming the name that defines an entire category.

Stern (Star) was founded by Henri Nannen in 1948 in a Germany 🇩🇪 that was seeking to reinvent itself. Its first issue had only 16 pages, but a giant vision.

Little by little, it became the most widely read illustrated magazine in Europe, thanks to its impeccable visual presentation and the power of photojournalism. 🗞️📸 Unlike its competitors, Stern didn't just report the news; it told human stories through powerful images and an avant-garde layout that defined the aesthetic of the '60s and '70s. ✨

More than just a magazine, it was a true cultural and visual milestone that combined "useful journalism" with an unmistakable style—a legacy that remains a benchmark to this day.
